Buying A 5 Gallon Water Bottle

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

5 gallon water bottles come in all shapes and forms. You can even buy metal water bottles! Sounds like something from grandma’s time… Buying 5 gallon water bottle can be hard, not because of the lack of selection, but for quite the opposite reason. If you look at any catalog of water storage tanks, you will see dozens and dozens of different designs, from vertical 5 gallon water bottles to elliptical water storage tanks to whatever.

And not only that, but they come in all kinds of different sizes and materials. How am I supposed to know which model of 5 gallon water bottle is the best when they all look so much the same to me. It is a really difficult choice to have to make, if you ask me.

Honestly, I just wanted to get a 5 gallon water bottle as a safety precaution, but I am thinking of calling it off altogether. You see, I live in an area which is really earthquake prone, and I thought, in case something happened like a natural disaster, it would be one of the best ideas to have an adequate supply of food and water to survive until help comes. I thought that a good, solid 5 gallon water bottle would be the answer.

Buy A Cuisinart Grind And Brew Coffee Maker!

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

I bet you like a decent cup of coffee? In that case, I advise you to just go for the best coffee maker available. You know, I can’t start the day properly without my hot cup of coffee… and the smell of those beans. If you know what you are looking for, or if you need a coffee brewer/maker that also has the capabilities of grinding the beans beforehand, one of the best things to do is study up real quick on all of the pros and cons, assets and liabilities, of the machine—make and model—you seek.

And the best thing to do when studying up is to check out the reviews of real, normal humans who have bought and/or used, for example, the Cuisinart grind and brew coffee maker before you. There are a few online sites that feature explicit reviews, detailing the usability, the affordability, the durability, the appearance, and the ease of cleaning of the particular product you want.

A Cat Cookie Jars Collection

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

People like to collect things. It also gives a personal touch in your home, your living space or your kitchen. But have you ever heard of a cat cookie jars collection? Somehow I never made a connection between felines and kitchens.

That is until my sister chose this unique theme for her cooking space. She added great decorative details like a wallpaper border filled with images of kitties and items like cat cookie jars peppered throughout the space.

The area looks fantastic and I was really taken back by her excellent display of cat cookie jars. These items give the room character and charm but they are not overwhelming in the large area. The cat jars are placed strategically throughout the room but there are a few shelves dedicated to displaying them.

Once A Month Cooking Habit?

Friday, September 8th, 2006

Are you one of the people who have the habit of cooking about once a month? Are you looking for steak marinades, worlds hottest sauce or just info on the 30 day gourmet, then just read on! Are you too busy to cook and get stuck in a rut when it comes to meal planning? A very practical solution to this dilemma is once a month cooking or OAMC. Take one or two days and just cook up a storm, and fill your freezer with all the meals you’ll need for the next month.

Clean up will be minimal too, and the time you save cooking and cleaning can be better spent with your family or doing something else you enjoy. Once a month cooking works well for singles, couples, and small or large families. Food items needed to prepare the meals can be purchased in bulk or when they are on sale, which will greatly reduce the monthly grocery bill too. No one could complain about that! I don’t know about you, but I am somewhat disturbed when I walk out of the grocery store with one small bag of groceries that cost $25 or more!

Great Picnic Idea

Thursday, September 7th, 2006

When you organize a picnic, especially for a wedding event, you definitely have to plan everything in detail. Food, catering, entertainment, picnic area and baskets make a lot of work… My daughter’s best friend is getting married. She and my daughter have been best friend’s since they were five years old. She had spent as much time at our house as my daughter has.

My daughter is going to be her maid of honor and wants to host a bridal shower for her. My daughter and her husband have relocated to a different state so she asked if we could plan the shower at our home. I was excited to help plan and host this shower.

My daughter told me that the bride was having several showers because she was having one from where she works, one from where her fiancé works as well as her church group. We were going to invite her neighborhood friends as well as the aunts from her side of the family. We decided that we should have a theme for the shower. We printed off the list of gifts that she had registered for to see if we could find a theme. She had listed several things for camping, because she and her fiancé do a great deal of camping during their time off.

Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee

Sunday, September 3rd, 2006

Who doesn’t like a great cup of coffee? If you want to spend something extra, why not visit a specialty store and buy some Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. This particular type of coffee is like the Ferrari under the coffees: inspiring, luxurious and top of the bill! I received a package of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee as a Christmas gift last year.

There is no better coffee on the planet and I have become a little spoiled since receiving the thoughtful present. The Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee was reserved for special occasions but I really did not comprehend how special the beans really are until I tried to order more.

Of course, I knew that Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee would be a little pricey. The java beans are grown at the eastern end of the island of Jamaica. The beans get their name from the mountain range in this part of the country. The thickly wooded area boasts the best coffee available. It also boasts the rarest as well.
